'Tank!ng' is a mobile gas installation for natural gas. In this project, a solution was sought for an existing environmental problem, namely the lack of natural gas filling stations in Belgium.

The jury regards 'Tank!ng' as a service-providing ecodesign project with a highly demonstrative character. Via a mobile, modular designed refueling system, this project can ensure the market introduction of natural gas for company cars. Natural gas is a sustainable ecological fuel with a significantly lower CO2, CO, NOx and SO2 emission compared to gasoline, diesel and LPG. The higher methane emissions must, however, be remedied by adjusting the engine.
