TramSit

TramSit uses the existing tram infrastructure for the delivery of packages.

The delivery of packages creates enormous logistical pressure in the Flemish cities. With TramSit, Frederik wants to offer a solution. TramSit uses the available tram infrastructure of a city. The combination of external freight stations, unloading along the tram tracks and cargo bikes forms a coherent system that works quickly and efficiently and can immediately serve a large area within the city. The city will become livable again, deliveries will be more reliable and savings will be made on emissions, fuel consumption and time.

The need for parcel deliveries can no longer be combined with the oversaturated road network in our Flemish cities. With TramSit, Frederik wants to offer a solution for the logistics of freight transport in the cities and the environmental impact of the delivering vehicles.

TramSit uses the available tram infrastructure of a city. This saves costs and avoids emissions during the production of, for example, an entirely new tram. Due to reuse and standardization, TramSit can be applied to almost any tram and metro network through limited modification.
